As I was between jobs, I decided to take a vacation to the lower part of British Columbia. I met up with my aunt Ev at her home in Tulameen and on Friday, March 26th we travelled to Oliver. The day was overcast and cool, but as we entered the church with our Overton cousins, I could see blue patches of sky to the west. By the time we came out of the church, it was a beautiful party sunny Spring afternoon. Interment followed right after at the Oliver cemetery – Faustine’s plot is with the rest of the Overton stones (photos to follow in another post).
I saw cousins I haven’t seen in years, and some I’ve never met. Chris & Elaine Overton, Jan & Rod Hobbs, Bill & Rhonda Soares, Sheran Sellers, Timothy Stanley, Tammy Stanley, Diane Stanley, Sherry Camelli and other cousins I didn’t get introduced to.
There was a lovely reception at the Elks Hall.
